Civil Project Engineers required for large UK Contractor with work starting in April.

This established Civil Engineering Contractor is looking for Engineers who have demonstrated their ability on major project sites and who are keen to stay with their Group for a minimum 2 year period.

You will be required to supervise junior Engineers, Direct Labour and Sub-Contractors, also assist the Area Managers by resolving a variety of on site engineering and construction issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

Client Management:
Take the lead role at a project level to ensure client expectations are managed. This will include establishment of a project brief, understanding the development drivers, establishing a cost plan to meet agreed budget, risk identification and mitigation strategies

Leadership:
Create an environment for a highly motivated and exceptional team to perform at optimum productive levels

Cost Planning/Programming:
Drive the value engineering agenda in the design development phases to optimise the design solution.Develop an overall project program

Risk Management:
Identify and understand key risks and opportunities in all aspects of the project to optimise our clients position. This will include head contracts, designs, budgets, authorities and project delivery

Environment, Health and Safety:
To implement EH&S systems and set the standard of zero tolerance of unsafe practises and occurrences

Expressions of interest are required for a significant UK Tunnel Project commencing soon.

Upon startup, this operation will created a significant amount of opportunities for professional Senior Project Engineers to contribute to the success of the successful team.

The Senior Project Engineer will work with the Tunnel Section Managers to directly lead and project manage the tunnel teams.

You will be be responsible for a wide range of accountabilities including planning and organising, OH&S, quality, commercial and community and environment to ensure project success.

Senior Project Engineers capable of performing this role will have solid engineering abilities, effective leadership and project management abilities and a commitment to safe work practices. Suitable candidates will also possess strong commercial, quality and planning capability. Applicants will require a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent and suitable experience.
